Local sparky wins ute and a visit from Angry Anderson.

Angry Anderson presented sparky, Troy Delaney, with a brand new ute at Keira Ford Dealership on the 21st January on behalf of Blundstone's Brute of a Ute competition.

Troy Delaney has lived in Wollongong for most of his life and works as an electrical contractor in his father's business; W B Delaney.

He is a big fan of Angry Anderson; lead singer of Rose Tattoo, current campaigner for Prostate Cancer awareness and Blundstone ambassador.

"It's great that a hardworking tradies has won," Angry said. "It makes it even better to visit Wollongong and hand over this great prize to a real Aussie worker."

Mr Delaney didn't own a vehicle, "This ute will help me cart around all my gear for work. I can even go camping now," he said.

Troy Delaney won the current model Ford XR ute, worth over $35,000, after buying a pair of Blundstone Brutes - the tough new range of Blundstone work boots with special shock protection technology.

Mr Delaney bought the new boots from his local Lawrence & Hanson store in Wolloongong as an early Christmas present for himself.

"I like the hiker style of boot, but I never thought I'd win," he said. "I've never won anything like this before."
