BLUNDSTONE CUTHBERTSON AWARDS

Blundstone Australia recently announced the winners of their inaugural Cuthbertson Awards in Melbourne. The awards were an initiative of Helen Dickinson, one of the owners of Blundstone and her husband Doug Dickinson, the owner of Cuthbertson Brothers, who sponsored the awards. The aim was to acknowledge and reward businesses and trading partners who most embraced the philosophies and ethos of the Blundstone brand and its' owners and employees. Participants were evaltuated across a range of criteria, in conjunction with the launch of the new Blundstone Brutes range.

The awards are an innovative idea in the footwear and safety industry in Australia, emphasising the importance that distributors play in promoting products and educating end users to the various features available in safety footwear. Prizes were offered on a state level including NZ and an Australasian prize was awarded to the business which most exemplified the Blundstone ethos.

The Australasian winner was Resources Trading Hub (RTH) in Kalgoorlie. RTH, managed by Ross Wharton, is a small business that has grown exponentially over the last few years and is now servicing some of the largest mining interests in Australia. Ross and his staff provide outstanding customer service and have a solid understanding of the products they endorse. This has enabled RTH to provide clients with knowledgeable solutions to their safety footwear needs.
