Kassia Meador began surfing at age 14, joining her father for surf sessions in Malibu, California, where she studied other surfers and their techniques. Known for her graceful surf style, Kassia was crowned the "queen of noseriding" by the New York Times and in 2011 ranked 2nd on the WSL women's longboard tour. In 2013 Kassia left sponsored surfing and began to build her brand of eco-conscious surf gear, KASSIA+SURF.

“Surfing is an act of meditation. You can’t be in your mind when you’re riding a wave. It’s riding creation in this moment that’s never going to happen again. So it’s really asking and reminding you of true presence. And to me that’s wellness.”

“All creation is waves. Sound waves are created in the same way that waves are created in the ocean. They are one in the same."
