Outdoor Afro is a non-profit organization that has become the nation's leading, cutting edge network that celebrates and inspires Black connections and leadership in nature. Through their leadership network, they are connecting thousands of people to nature experiences and changing the face of conservation.
With more than 100 leaders in 56 cities, Outdoor Afro is hosting nature events all across the country. Each year they connect thousands of people to nature experiences and advocate for more inclusion in outdoor recreation, nature, and conservation for all.
From its grassroots beginning in 2009, Outdoor Afro now enjoys national sponsorship and is recognized by major organizations for its role in addressing the ongoing need for greater diversity in the outdoors. Additionally, part of their mission is to protect wild places, enhance our lands, wildlife and waterways for long term sustainability for all to enjoy.
