Outdoor Afro in a non-profit organization has become the nation’s leading, cutting edge network that connected thousands, especially from the Black American community, to nature and the explores the benefits of spending more time outdoors.
With more than 80 leaders in 42 cities, Outdoor Afro is hosting nature events all across the country. Each year they connect thousands of people to nature experiences and advocate for more inclusion in outdoor recreation, nature, and conservation for all.
From its grassroots beginning in 2009, Outdoor Afro now enjoys national sponsorship and is recognized by major organizations for its role in addressing the ongoing need for greater diversity in the outdoors. Additionally, part of their mission is to protect wild places, enhance our lands, wildlife and waterways for long term sustainability for all to enjoy.
